
Chris Assenmacher
Senior Advisor, Manufacturing and Construction
Chris has over twenty-five years of experience as a business leader, investor and board member in the manufacturing, construction and industrial technology sectors.
Currently, Chris serves as an Operating Partner for a private equity firm that invests in middle-market enterprises in the manufacturing, construction and industrial sectors. Most recently, he served as President of Advance Storage Automation until its sale in late 2023. Prior to Advance, Chris was the CEO of Carter Intralogistics, a manufacturer of conveyor and integrator of industrial automation solutions and material handling systems for commercial and government customers. He led Carter during a period transformation that saw the company grow significantly and move into new products, services and markets. In late 2018, Chris led the sale of Carter to a strategic buyer.
His career began in strategy consulting, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the University of Delaware and a Master’s degree in Economics from Temple University. He is an active member of the YPO and recently served as the Chair of YPO’s global Manufacturing Excellence Network.
